they are making two roads one way due to accidents that happen near by this location. i have seen several accidents take place at the location noted. all have been where the first car slowed down to look to see that it was clear. the second car also looked to see if they were clear, but due to the angle you have to look back to check the second car doesn't see the first car stopped and hits them. so liberty county changes another road to one way to avoid this? it still leaves people to do the same thing that has caused all the accidents.

That appears to be the curve at Flemington.

This change is being implemented I imagine by the State DOT.

DOT has historically designed some borderline ignorant intersections throughout the state.

Many were killed at the intersection a couple of miles east of this one before it was finally changed.

In defense of the DOT I must add that they proposed a very sensible Hinesville bypass about 25 or more years ago.

It was resisted by local so called business leaders for selfish reasons.

Now a different plan lies collecting dust and won't likely happen for a decade or more.

gacpl, I think that if we investigate we might discover that this action you have brought attention to is a product of our Joint planning commission.

Now there (the joint planning commission) is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars.

Some of you more competent researchers need to take a long hard look at that group.
