The Great Choke of 2013

Well, as the prognosticators of old have predicted, the Atlanta Falcons, the beloved team from my childhood, has once again folded like an accordion. *sigh* Because of the terms and conditions of blog usage, I cannot post the string of "obscene, vulgar, profane and abusive" expletives that are running through my mind right now. I can only offer the following press release.

"As of right now, I no longer have a favorite NFL team to cheer for. My philosophy has always been to cheer for the home team. Well, the home team has let me down one time too many. I will just stare blankly at the screen and watch whatever team is playing, neither rooting for or against either side. I will just enjoy the sporting contest. Thank you and Goodbye Atlanta Falcons".

I'm disappointed too. I can't believe they didn't score at all in the 2nd half.

Yes - another bad day for the good guys. Obviously the Falcons need help on the defensive side, with as many "leads lost" in the second half in recent memory. But I suppose you have to give credit to the other side. Especially in the last two games, they have been playing really good teams. As for the 49ers, that QB is having a Cinderella season since he came in and dropped my Bears D when they were flying high. Hopefully the AFC winner will ground HIM in the SB. I'm still pulling against SF.

I'm pulling for the Patriots now. I like Tom Brady and one more title would cement his legacy as one of the all time Greatest OB's in NFL History!

30 Freaking years I have been cheering for the Falcons and 27 have been let downs. I don't even know if I will watch the Superbowl. Not looking good right now. I may pull up old episodes of Magnum PI, Knight Rider or Buck Rogers on netflix. I got it...Xena Warrior Princess.

It looks like the Ravens will win. I won't be heartbroken because of sports again;go Ravens alias the Baltimore Colts!

Wow....the Harbaugh Bowl. Both road teams win. Take heart, lh - I too have h been handed a pack of disappointment from the teams I root for. The '84 Bears blew one in the NFC championship game to the 49ers. They did better the next year. I'm looking for the Falcons to tighten up on D and go further in the upcomjng season.

Have not heard from IKY. But I been talking to some folks. The Ravens look and ARE hot. I'm not gonna bet the house but am considering laying down a C note and take the 3.5 points and go with the black birds.
