In order to cut spending, Obama wants to cut medical benefits to active military, dependents and retirees while not touching the benefits of civilian contractors. These guys (and gals) make boo-choo money, unlike our military which is vastly underpaid for the work they do.In the upcoming next year, the cost of Tricare could rise by 78% and continue to rise to possibly over 300% in the following years. On top of that, there will be an annual fee for Tricare for life. This burns my arse because promises where made to my dad for the service he did for this country. Promises that have been consistently reneged on in favor of politician's pet projects. Because of exposure to Agent Orange, he suffers from multiple illness which the VA has declared him to be 90% disabled. Wheelchair bound and declining health wasn't enough of a price to service this country, now they want more. I am disgusted.

I understand your frustration, my husband is also "tricare for life" and we were informed he has "aged out" so is no longer eligible for any medical care from the military or the VA (BTW he has 85% service related disabilities) they are however still taking our money on a regular basis for the payment of our regular "tricare for life" premuims. I've taken the matter to several people at Ft Stewart and not received any satisfactory answers plus raised the issue with Jack Kingston's office.

Pretty much standing in a corner tapping my foot impatiently as I watch my husband's health detoriate rapidly...

"The "Examiner" is not a credible news source. Any idiot can write for it."

It's as "credible" as the Rude Pundit.

Your criticism of my link Murr, is the reason I posted those other links, which talk about the cuts to Tricare proposed by Obama.

What makes "Lee Papa" any more credible than any of the other wackos that are out there spouting their propaganda for the left or right?

Give me a break.

sebekm commented on Wednesday, Oct 31, 2012 at 14:00 PM

...like I said before: you read your shills and I'll read mine. None of them are any more credible than the next. In fact - I gauge (and value) the opnions of those who post here - even YOURS - to be just as credible as any of the other, more "widely read" bloggers/posters/news analyzers that pop up on the internet.

Anyway - most of what the skirmishes on this site are about are "analysis" - not "news." That goes for the electoral college predictors and maps as well. And we all know where analysis comes from:

Just check the first four letters of the word.

well the first rise of charges is listed on the dod's official web site. 16% rise for this year alone

sebekm commented on Thursday, Nov 01, 2012 at 11:59 AM

I never said Lee Papa was a journalist. You were talking about "credibility." Opinion oftentimes is synonymous with analysis.

P.S. Keep it up. Your name-calling and abusive comments are on the record, and you are building my case.

...and as to Lee Papa, it seems that he has less credibility than I thought - as chronicled here:
