Elections at Local NAACP & Gala

Would you like to be the new leadership of the local NAACP? Well here is your chance. The Liberty County Branch of the NAACP monthly meeting will be held on Monday 10/01/2012, at 7:30 pm at the Dorchester Academy, Midway, Georgia. We will be nominating new officers for offices for the years 2013 - 2014. To be nominated for an office, a member must be a member in good standing. Our Awards banquet and Gala will be open to the public, on Oct 6. 2012. Our Speaker will be: National NAACP Executive Vice President & Chief Programs Officer Steven Hawkins. Steve Hawkins began his career as an attorney with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Our theme: Educate, Inform, & Unite. We will feature a new award: The Amazing Woman Award. Please come out and enjoy an elegant evening of awards, food and entertainment on October 6, 2012. The Local is here to help and support the community.
