Dr. Alveda C. King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., states:

“My grandfather, Dr. Martin Luther King, Sr., or “Daddy King”, was a Republican and father of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who was a Republican.”

See it all here on the NBRA site poduced and coordinated by National Black Republican Association Chairman Frances Wright.

I grew up as a Democrat, and finally realized after an open mind and extensive research that the Democrat party has been hijacked by Progressives like Barack Hussein Obama who believe in collectivism and Big Government which is detrimental to prosperity and free market enterpise which enables economic growth and wealth for all Americans.

Please check out the NBRA site and refresh yourself on our true history of suppression and racism which is conducive of the Democratic Party History. I have realized that Progressive Democrats are experts at portraying Republicans as racist, and this is definitely not true if the Republican is a fiscal conservative.

Take the NBRA History test here, how do you compare in regards to accurate accountability of our diversified history:

Yes, a closed mind is a terrible thing to waste. Those who blindly follow one political party - for whatever reason - would help themselves if they were better informed.

Thanks, Funky - for the historical reminder. Both major political parties have enjoyed the loyalties of numerous special interest groups over the years for many reasons, such as race, heritage, family tradition, etc. But when one does so automatically - without thinking, and without observing what our politicians actually stand for - it does the voter and this country more harm than good.

The latest bit of propaganda from the incumbent administration is that we ARE "better off than we were four years ago." CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? They expect that the sheep will eat that up, as they do just about everything else the Dems put out.

But when you coldly look at FACTS, you know that we're not better off when:

*President Obama has run up the deficit at more than twice the rate Bush did.

*The President and his economic advisers told us his stimulus would keep unemployment below 8 percent. It didn’t. Plus, huge numbers of people have dropped out of the job market - due to frustration over lack of available jobs - which makes the REAL unemployment rate significantly higher.

*The President continued to grow government in a wide variety of areas as things continued to get worse. This just exacerbated the problem. Now more people are on food stamps than ever before.

*By every measure, we have had the worst recovery in 50 years - and yet the party which has controlled the White house and the U.S. Senate for nearly four years - AND WHICH CONTROLLED ALL THREE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION - have spent more time and energy blaming Bush than trying to forge compromise agreements to get this country moving FORWARD.

Yes, Funky - those people who are NOT "unbelievably stupid" must vote for CHANGE WE REALLY CAN BELIEVE IN this November - not the male bovine scatology the incumbent party is dishing out.

Once again - I hope not. But if he does, expect gun sales to "surge":

Chief, you are as nonpartisan as they come; you call it as it is and for BHO it’s a failed economic debacle. And chief I know you didn’t mean to give the Democrats a break, but they have been in charge of the Senate for 6 years from 2007-2012. The Dems took over in GWB’s last 2 years. They had the House from 2007-2010 and had Super Majorities in the house 257of 435 and a Filibuster proof Senate in 2009-2010. BHO pushed thru anything he wanted in the 1st 2 years and apparently his plan hasn’t worked and it’s not the entire fault of the Republicans. If not for the 2010 elections we could be in even worse shape than we are now.

And ASmith , I’m convinced it’s unbelievably stupid to post a comment like that within a span of 45 minutes without even knowing the facts about it. With all the information presented on the NBRA site and Alveda C. King affirming the matter, it’s impossible for you to have digested it in 45 minutes with an open/closed mind.

Funkentelecky commented on Sunday, Sep 16, 2012 at 21:59 PM

ASmith, what foreign policy credentials did BHO have in 2008? I’m compelled to answer the question for you, 0. And just to enlighten you a bit our Greatest Foreign Policy issue today is THE USA ECONOMY, for without its GROWTH and PROSPERITY we are in TROUBLE. Mitt Romney’s Greatest Asset is EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE ECONOMY and again BHO had 0 EXPERIENCE in this CRITICAL AREA TOO, in 2008. Which explains why we are hurting right now as a country, especially black folk?

Thanks Sheran, for your informative info. This week I asked a co-worker who is a female. Are you voting this year and she said don’t be offended by what I say and I said I won’t. She said I’m worried about voting for a Muslim or a Mormon and I said to her the answer is simple and clear. Do you want someone who loves Big Government or someone who believes in Free Market Enterprise and she said I didn’t think about it that way. So as you can see when Americans go to the polls on November 6th President Obama will be out the door come January!

I wish that were true Funk but I think Jimmy is right about the outcome of the election. I don't think a lot of people are going to look past Romney's faith. I find it disturbing that the same people who say they are for equal rights and gender equality hates him simply because of where he prays on Sunday. It is a.head scratcher

up2, you are nonpartisan too, however I feel that our country will vote on it’s founding principles again like they did in 2008. President Obama didn’t uphold the principles of reaching across party lines, cutting the deficit in half, or bringing the county together like MLK would. He is a partisan Ideologue who is the Leader of our Country with no leadership experience other than the last 4 years and we all know the record on that situation.

timeontarget commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 07:50 AM

George Washington, in his farewell address, warned against allowing political parties to become too powerful.

I think he said something like there was a danger that loyalty to the party would compete with loyalty to the Union.

It scares me that many citizens are blindly loyal to a single party.

The "two party lock" on the primary elections has given us several decades of gridlock in our Congress.

I will proudly vote for the Republican candidate in November because of his experience in the world of business.

I truly wanted Herman Cain to win the nomination for the same reason.

The country threw Cain under the bus because he made a mistake in his private life.

I then wanted Ron Paul but that force failed to gain enough support.

Funk keep up the good work you are doing for this community on this blog site.

And the rest of you also no matter what your party preference.

God Bless America.

Funkentelecky commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 09:04 AM

Thanks TOT, I believe in America and freedom because I’m a living and breathing example of it. In a nutshell when you accept our culture and heritage, and take personal responsibility for life in America you won’t fail. The Party of 4S’s, Slavery, Segregation, Secession and now Socialism has a vast majority of it’s constituents embracing this collectivist mentality led by Barack Hussein Obama.

sebekm commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 12:12 PM

"Chief, you are as nonpartisan as they come..."

I don't know...I took this quiz and it said I agreed with Romney more than 75% of the time, but I also agreed with Obama nearly 60% of the time.

http://www.isidewith.com/

Perhaps what that really means is there are more similarities between the parties than there are differences.

up2sumptin commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 13:15 PM

I came out as follows:

Gary Johnson libertarian 74%
Virgil Goode consitution 73%
Jill Strein green 72%
Mitt Romney republican 69%
Barrack Obama 51%

Funkentelecky commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 17:15 PM

Thanks for the quiz Chief, my results for: Politicians

Gary Johnson 89%; I agree with the Economy, Domestic and Foreign Policy, Healthcare, Immigration and Environment.

Mitt Romney 79%; I agree with the Economy, Domestic and Foreign Policy and Environment.

Vigil Goode 36%; I agree with Healthcare.

Barack Hussein Obama 25%; I agree with Immigration and Foreign Policy.

Jill Stein 4%; nothing of significance
Rocky Anderson 2%; nothing of significance

My results for Party Affiliation:
Libertarian 79%
Republican 76%
Democrat 4%
Green 1%

Now can’t you see how nonpartisan you are Chief?

JimmyMack commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 17:31 PM

BHO by a nose at the wire.

...or maybe it will be BHO by a wire at the nose...

sebekm commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 17:45 PM

"Now can’t you see how nonpartisan you are Chief?"

Okay - only if you define "nonpartisan" as:

"Based on, influenced by, affiliated with, or supporting the interests or policies of NO SINGLE (emphasis added) political party."

I suppose that if I'm at least 1% "influenced" by Dem interests or policies, I AM "nonpartisan." But you'd never get that kind of an admission out of "partisans" from either party, that's for sure.

Funkentelecky commented on Monday, Sep 17, 2012 at 20:58 PM

That’s a good one there Chief, I hope Brother Jimmy can at least acknowledge that.

Brother Jimmy contrary to your beliefs, keeping the Bush Tax Cuts in place is not lowering taxes for the rich it’s simply keeping the rates the same as they have been for over 10 years.

For starts it’s a Saul Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” Tactic of class warfare by the Grandmaster of Community Organizers himself.
I trust that 70-86 Billion to stay in the hands of the entrepreneurs responsible for making it. News flash, Leviathan spends and wastes 86 Billion in less than 10 days
