Food stamp participation is also at an all-time high of 46.7 million in June 2012; however the name of the entitlement program has changed. The program is now called, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and administers 133 dollars a month to its participants. In January 2009 32 million Americans were on Food Stamps , bless my soul SNAP, in June 2012 it’s 47 million and I rounded out the numbers in this sentence.
Sheran and golfnut31316, thanks for your support and may the independent vote terminate President Obama on November 6th 2012!!!!
The get program does not give $133 to each of it participaints. Just ask any senior. $133 per person is the Max entitlement. Benefits are income based and are adjusted according to income.

Thanks up2, it’s just a matter of wording if the government gives Peter $100 and Paul $166 the average distributed by the government is $133. See it here:

up2, you have said you like Barack Obama and that’s wonderful because a lot more people out there do to; however do you like his policies and can you separate the two circumstances and rate him on policies only? That is the intent of this blog.
As a leader you don’t blame other people for your circumstances, you go out and fix it. Why do progressives like President Obama think we are stupid? Why would you even blame somebody and call them names and proceed to do worse than that person in half the time! See it here:

BHO has got to GO!!!
I don't think I've said I liked or disliked him funky. I like some of his policies, like his stand on immigration, but dislike Obamacare. I don't think he is a bad man or even the worst president but once all the chips have been added up, I am ready for a change. I just wish we had more to choose from. Obama or Romney. The pot or the pan. Either eat we end up in the fire. I guess the question is who can keep our chestnuts out of the fire the longest.
"...I am ready for a change."
So am I. Hooray for HOPE! Hooray for CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN. Let's go FORWARD and elect Romney/Ryan.

My bad up2, I don’t like his policies because he doesn’t stand on principles. Last year he said he couldn’t do anything because congress hadn’t passed a bill to sign into law and this year with an election coming soon he signs an executive order to allow 800,000 illegal’s to stay here which will take jobs from legal citixens”It’s the right thing to do” he said. He swore uphold and defend the constitution, so as Chief Executive he shouldn’t have done that.
He said that you can’t pass healthcare with a 50+1 vote and can’t govern he did it with Obamacare and he lost full control of congress in 2010. Now it’s his turn to go because after all the partisan policies he rammed thru in 2009 and 2010 were good policies we would be seeing the fruits of his labor evolving into fruition like the Reagan recovery of the 80’s.
See his statement here:

Mitt Romney wasn’t my 1st choice I wanted Businessman Herman Cain; however Romney has the experience and leadership to guide the country back to prosperity and he’s not a career politician only 4 years as Governor of Massachusetts with balances his ability to lead.
I am going to disagree on immigration. Funky. What jobs are they taking? Unemployment sits at 8% or more, yet crops are rotting in the fields because we are too good toxic that kind of work. Think food prices are high, wait until you have to pay min wages to an American citizen to do it. Even then you will be hard pressed to get enough workers. Many immigration laws, IMHO, smack of racisim. I know that isn't a popular stand but it's how I feel.
Up2, it’s ok to disagree however you are just as wrong as he is because as the President it is his duty to uphold the laws on the books until they are changed thru amendments and passed thru congress. This is a classic example of Brother Jimmy calling GWB “Boy King”.
As a leader you don’t compromise principle and try to usurp policy, its ok for him to feel that way but don’t do it because it’s wrong.
Senator Marco Rubio was working on a bill in the senate and President signed the executive order to sway voters to re-elect him.
Up2, can you give an example of an immigration law that smacks racism. I have given clear examples to back up what I believe in.
All I have today is my cell and it is hard to do the the research you are requesting and impossible to cut/paste links. I will most likely be sometime Monday before I can give you the info you want.
I would like to repeat the fact that leaders do not:
1. Continually blame thier non- performance on thier predecesors.
2. Make excuses for not achieving thier promises in a ample amount of time.
3. Using the : I just need a little more time to fix it" BS.
I am over it, fun meter is pegged out. Obama, you dont have to go , but ya cant stay here!
Here you go Funky, the information I promised you. My first source is from HUFF. I know they are a liberal’s liberal but sometimes they get it right (IMHO).

Thanks up2 for your feedback, I agree with President Obama’s personal stance on immigration not his political one. Immigration is a Federal responsibility by the constitution and Arizona cannot make law in regards to it without a constitutional amendment; however I agree when profiling you should do it according to who or whom is most likely to do it against us. I don’t consider that racist, I consider it as using common sense to protect American citizens.
Larry Elder , The Sage from South Central has written an interesting article about the President called; The Five ‘Reasons’ to Re-Elect Obama read it below as Larry dissects all of Obama’s about inheriting the worst economy since the Great Depression to the Bush Tax Cuts and 3 more topics below:
"President Obama started with a much weaker economy than I did. Listen to me now. No president - not me, not any of my predecessors - no one could have fully repaired all the damage that he found in just four years."
"Now - but he has - he has laid the foundations for a new, modern, successful economy of shared prosperity. And if you will renew the president's contract you will feel it. You will feel it." Brother Bill Clinton at the DNC.
The game has changed conservatives. Deregulation and tax cuts for the rich are "old man" politics. We need to step into the future not retreat from it.

Yes - if we reelect Obama "we will feel it," alright. And when we feel it, the sounds we will make will be:
OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCHHHHHHHHH!
and
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
and finally
STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
I sure hope not. With everything busting loose at home and abroad, I can't see how he "makes history" and gets reelected:
....and he needs to figure out who is our "ally":

As can be seen from the recent round of embassy attacks, the use of words is a big deal to those in the Middle East. What words we use to respond to threats and actions makes all the difference in outcomes in that part of the world.
I also think he will pay a price in the voting booth for saying that he will have "more flexibility" in dealing with the Russians "after the election." How can anyone interpret that as anything other than us being more "conciliatory" toward them? In dealing with our global competitors/opponents, that kind of talk is viewed as a sign of WEAKNESS.
More U.S. weakness on the international stage between now and November 6 can only lead to "regime change" here in the United States.
No matter who is at the help when we hit the financial cliff, it will not matter. It is gonna hurt everyone of us. What we do AFTER we hit the iceberg is what is important.
Republican's addiction to deregualtion, less taxes for the rich, No abortions no matter what for women, endorsement for a Federal mandate to not allow same sex marriages etc. etc. is NOT the answer.
You're right - nothing matters but the economy. The President has had four years to "fix it" - in his own words - otherwise he'd be "a one term deal."
I recommend that we hold him to THAT promise - in November.
I do not believe anyone grasped the shear enormity of our financial crisis, including BHO in 2008. BHO has laid the foundation for recovery. A return to tried and failed economic policies is NOT the answer.
In a very very strange comparison: Adolph Hitler spent the German economy back to prosperity. For the wrong reasons of course.
On our side of things, General Motors is back, Chrysler is back, and the banks are regaining a foothold.
My man at the wire by a nose.
If he didn't grasp it, he shouldn't have made a promise to fix it. I don't think he grasps it YET. You don't throw good money after bad, and you don't reward incompetence with more time to make things worse.
It's time for a change.
Sebe, my man, I can see where your vote seems to be going in November. W. CONVINCED Colin Powell that there were WMD's in IRAQ and for America to enter into an unnecessary war leading us toward the downward spiral.
BTW: Colin voted FOR Obama in 08. Wonder why he did it??!!?!

Brother Jimmy, it didn’t matter that Colin Powell was convinced the laundry list of people convinced included Bill and Hillary Clinton too. Congress was convinced also as evidenced by a 97-1 vote in the Senate and over 300 of 435 votes in the House and that’s the ONLY FACT that really matters. The War was optional not unnecessary according to your opinion which I will respect; however I don’t understand how you disregard facts when you criticize a President you don’t agree with.
IMHO, Colin Powell voted for Obama because he is black and believed in the narrative ”Hope and Change” that he would reach across party lines, no red states or blue states but the United States, I will cut the deficit in half; however it was all smoke and mirrors.
After a failed record, and raising racial tension to an all time high I doubt if he will vote for him this time because Colin Powell is a man of principles
"BTW: Colin voted FOR Obama in 08. Wonder why he did it??!!?!"
My hunch is that a HUGE reason he did it was because - to General Powell - Obama is "one of us." ABC News thought otherwise in an opinion piece back in October 2008, and had a pretty good analysis:
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/...
But I don't buy their reasons entirely. My take is:
*Powell never was a "true" Republican to begin with, especially from the standpoint of his positions on social issues.
*A big reason he took Bush the Younger's invitation to be Secretary of State was his loyalty to Bush the Elder - forged during Gulf War I. That loyalty didn't carry over to McCain.
*McCain didn't "court" Powell's endorsement the way Obama did.
*I'm not sure Powell really "liked" McCain, despite their common military background. Also, McCain's people during the campaign took some actions that Powell persoally disagreed with (as pointed out by ABC News).
and last but not least:
*Obama - to Powell - is "one of us."
But I don't know that Powell's endorsement is that significant this time around - especially since his credibility has eroded over time due to the Iraq WMD fiasco and the Dem propaganda associated with it. Powell hasn't formally endorsed either candidate yet, but it appears that Obama is still trying to buy it:
...and speaking of ABC News - the President must have ticked them off pretty badly to get a headline like THIS:
