You could be right. Liberty lost 40-6 themselves, however. At any rate, it should be fun for the kids.
Yes Liberty County did get beaten by Glynn Academy, however; I believe that Liberty County will beat Bradwell again this year. Last year was a scrimmage, but this year is a regular Non Region matchup. Liberty County has gotten better over the years. They played stronger strength of schedule than Bradwell has played. Had Bradwell Insititute been in the Region that Liberty County is in, and recent years, they would have been beaten by those teams as well. If Bradwell today played in Region 3A-AAAA or Region 3B-AAAA their win / loss record would be worse than Liberty County. Unless I see significant improvement within a weeks time, I don't see Bradwell Institute beating Liberty County.
SF3, I attended the game at the old Olvey field when Windsor Forest came to town. A co-worker of ours son plays for the Knights. Does Bradwell Insttute visit Windsor Forest this year and what are your predictions for the full season, Great Post!
Thank you Funkentelecky,
Bradwell Institute will travel to Garden City to play against the Windsor Forest Knights. My predictions are ion my post.
"I predict Bradwell Institute to fall at the hands of Region 3A-AAAA Liberty County Panthers, Region 2-A Charlton County, Region 3-AAAAA Effingham County, Jenkins, Windsor Forest, Glynn Academy, Ware County, and Groves with wins over Richmond Hill, and Region 1-AAA Savannah High School. "
Maybe a 2-8 Fall Season. Massey Ratings have it that way as well after I checked out the site.
Both teams should save the trash talk. Neither one can back it up. Plus, that's one reason the series was discontinued.
Well at least I believe I'm correct. I challenge walsh to prove me wrong. In fact, I dare him to prove me wrong.
50-50 shot in my opinion. But in either sense certainly not enough of an improvement to justify the expense on that field worthy of collegiate level playing. It amazes me the tax money that is spent on activities that provide little educational ROI.
I like the way you put that Tandshickey.
ROI.... Return On Investment. It takes money to make money. Well in that case, what have the Coaches invested in a quality and better football program at Bradwell Institute for those group of young men that play? Well nothing from nothing leaves absolutely nothing.
Tandshickey States:
"50-50 shot in my opinion. But in either sense certainly not enough of an improvement to justify the expense on that field worthy of collegiate level playing."
Well 50-50 shot on either side at the beginning of play. The odds leans in favor of Liberty County. As far as the Stadium goes, I believe that a new Stadium really needed to be built. Not because of the Football team, but because of other Athletics that are there at Bradwell Institute which are much deserving. As far as the Football Team, I will say that the level of performance that the football team (Bradwell Institute) display, is that it is a mirror of it's Head Football Coach, and the Coach's leadership abilities. Does Bradwell Head football exemplify that type of quality? Well look at it's past seasons. Look at the last 3 to five years. Look at the past 10 years. How about 19 years? In an overall concept of leadership over the years, do you really see that? I sure as heck don't. In 19 years how many Sub-Region Titles? Region Titles? How many regular season games were above at least .700? If you really want to know, I can tell you, and give you an overall concept, and you can make your determination from those statistics.
This will be interesting to watch:
1-AAAAAA Brunswick at 3-AAAAA Glynn Academy
1-AAAAAA Coffee at 3-AAAAA Ware County
Now that is some serious competition.

I think both teams will play hard just because its a rivalry game and braggin rights to the winner. The trash talk is going on, its just on facebook and twitter though. (I am co-workers with someone who has a son who plays for Bradwell)
The game should be able to go on each year without any problems due to the way both of the stadiums are built now. The game use to be played at the old olvey and you were able to constantly move around the stadium. Now you have to be seated on either side. It was normally the kids contstantly walking around that caused the problems.
It should be a great atmosphere and great game.
A few notes.... Jenkins Savannah beat last years Class A state champion Savannah Christian friday by 1. This was Savannah Christains first loss since the Championship game in 2010.
Defending AAAAAA state champion and ESPN's #1 ranked team in the country,
Grayson Georgia will play USA Todays #1 ranked team in the country and defending AAAAAA champion from Florida, Miami Central friday. Camden won a shoot-out with this team 2 yrs ago. It should be on tv, i just have not found out where yet.
WSAV will be showing Thursday night games on tv. Liberty County is on the schedule. They will be playing Statesboro. Click on link below for all the info..
Greetings Hollabackk,
I agree with you that bother teams will play very hard against one another. The hype between the two Schools are off the hook. The two teams probably will play harder this game than any other game of the season.
As far as last week scores, I read about the upset between Jenkins and Savannah Christian. There were more upsets as well. Region 3B-AAAA Burke County got beat as well.
"Jenkins’ Paris Baker in the Warriors’ 21-20 victory against defending Class A champion Savannah Christian. Baker, a star linebacker last season, made his first start at quarterback, rushing for 141 yards on 25 carries and completing 6-of-11 passes for 63 yards, according to the Savannah Morning News. Baker scored all three of Jenkins’ touchdowns on runs of 12, 54 and 4 yards".
As far as #1 Ranked Region 8-AAAAAA Grayson Playing Against #1 Ranked Class AAAAAA Miami Central, their hands will be full. Grayson Head Football Coach better give Camden County's Jeff Herron a call. They Camden County knows how to beat Miami Central.
In Class AAAA
Statesboro is ranked #5. This is the team to beat this year. I have Statesboro, Marist, Sandy Creek, and Carrollton being the semi finals in the post season playoffs.
Iknowyou,
I rank them as follows for the Fall 2012 Season:
1. Liberty County
2. Long County
3. Bradwell Institute
4. FPCA
SportsFan31313, are you serious?
1. FPCA
2. Bradwell Institute
3. Liberty County
4. Long County
Long County did beat Montgomery County in a scrimmage game 46 to 6 but I believe that will be their only victory for the season.
Iknowyou,
I'm not sure about FPCA, but I am pretty sure about the remaining teams. I'm not always right, but I am hardly ever wrong.
I really don't think that Bradwell Institute will beat Liberty County this Friday. Unless they have made some major adjustments, (as stated in my blog) I don't see them beating Liberty County this year. Granted that both teams in the past have not done well in the regular seasons. But Liberty County is the stronger of the two teams. Bradwell Institute has the size, and strenght. I am not too sure about speed. But I am quite that Liberty County can out execute Bradwell Institute on offense, and I do believe that Liberty County has a much better defense, than Bradwell Institute. Nevertheless, I always stand to be corrected. I just have not been wrong as of late. Long County has never had a successful season as far as I can remember, and I don't see things getting any better either. Bradwell Institute from what I've known so far they will more than likely be in the same situation as they were last year. Lots of mistakes, no discipline, no poise, and no sense of urgency.
Liberty County season last year was not a good season either, however; their strenght of schedule out weighs ALL the other the schools football schedule in it's entirety. Like I said in my blog. If Bradwell Institute played the Liberty County's Region, they would probably be worst. I also say this for FPCA and Long County. So again here is my Rankings:
1. Liberty County
2. Long County
3. Bradwell Institute
4. FPCA
Good Luck goes out today to Both Head Football Coach Kirk Warner, and Head Football Coach Jim Walsh Jr. on their quest for victory. May the best team prevail, and win tonight.
And I was proven to be absolutely correct in predictions between the two rivals. Now The Liberty County Panthers claims ownership of the new Olvey Field. Bradwell Institute should be asking Liberty County for permission to use their felid that they took from Bradwell Institute. Another dismal season for Bradwell Institute heading therir direction. Coach Walsh, please step down. Your time has long come and come... Although you was never much of for Bradwell Institute. You should have stayed at SOL Johnson.
Iknowyou,
You see I am correct so far in week one.
1. Liberty County Won
2. Long County Won
3. Bradwell Institute Lost
4. FPCA Lost
FPCA lost by the most points.
