Take Me To Post Comment Form

Goodmorning my fellow bloggers, hope this Friday morning finds you ready for the weekend and full of X-mas cheer! Let me preface my following comments by saying I know how "popular" it is in this forum when a local buisness is referanced but damn the torpedos I am going to do it anyway! So...I am a fan of the donut, quite possibly a connoisseur. We have two places here in Hinesvegas to purchase such delicacies. Donut Connection located off of 196 across from the Fabricare Plaza and Dunkin Donuts off of 84 in the Big Lots area. One a local buisness(Donut Connection) and another a franchise that once again threatens a local family and buisness. Shannon and Jimmy at our local buisness, are a pleasure to speak with every time I come, and are pleasant anf professional evertime I indulge. Its the little things of knowing how I like my coffee prepared and my preferance of the aforementioned delicacy. At the end of the day it is not about the donut, its about the people, the customer service, and us as a community making sure we support our own. Now with that said the "other" place also provides jobs for local people. All I am saying is share the love, maybe alternate visits but I kinda think once you start experiancing the great people and quality of product and customer service you might become so inclined as myself. have a great Day, Merry Christmas, and remember, lifes too short not to eat a donut every now and then!!

Customer service goes a long way in my book in getting my return business.

You wont be disipointed there.. if you are let Jimmy and Shannon know and they will make it right.

Will do. You gotta favorite? Mine is a tie between the rasberry filled and the cream filled donuts, washed down with Black coffee.

Rasberry-filled has always been my favorite, with extra sugar on those buns.

I am a fan of the blue barry and marble, as well as the sour cream, yummy!

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Donut Connection a franchise also? Maybe not as big as Dunkin Donuts, but it too is a franchise. Google Donut Connection and you will see all the states it is located and how to become a franchise owner too. When I think of family owned I think of a " mom and pop" type business that can only be found in town, nowhere else. Just my thought for the day

It's hard to beat a gooooood cafiene-sugar buzz.

I would concur that it is a franchise...With that in mind, the initial post stated at the end of the day it was more about the people rather than the donuts. Secondly, they have NO idea that this was posted. The blog alluded to the great customer service and a hard working couple. I also stated to share the love with both franchises but I still feel you may be inclined to my preference. At the end of the day I want you all to make your own choice. I just wanted to share my own expieriance in regards to said preference. Merry Christmas!!

Thanks for the nice comments. I am Shannon from Donut Connection. A little information about us.. we are a co-op much different from a franchise. We are able to buy branded products from the big donut connection however we do not receive any thing extra from them. We are locally owned and work hard to give back to our community. Come by an atleast give us a try.

Race Based Hate Crimes are Color Blind
August 20, 2014
As the Ferguson fiasco continues most of the claims have been that the white community is guilty of race based violence and purported inequities. The link below denotes more race based hate crimes primarily against whites. My question is; should the "white" community in DC be rioting and demanding change? ...

JM and PN thought you would appreciate this. All I can say is ghetto much... Also attached is another brilliant statement from our Commander and Chump... I guess its ok because the GOP hates him...
