Take Me To Post Comment Form I hand carried an article to be put in the Coastal Courier about the B.O.E. meeting December 13th at 5:30 pm. For some reason someone doesn’t want the readers of the Courier to know of our concerns about the football program at Bradwell or they just don’t care.

The article was to inform everyone about the steps that had been taken to get Coach Walsh to step-down as head coach and athletic director. Principal Carrier has not asked Coach Walsh to step-down, so we were advised to take it to the B.O.E. and the Superintendent. There was nothing in the article unkind to anyone involved in this important decision. It just stated that we need and want a change in leadership to hopefully rebuild our football program, which is at the lowest point it has ever been. Also, it was about our B.O.E. representative Carol Guyette, who doesn’t agree with the people who elected her; the people who want this change for the betterment of the football program.

People have asked me why doesn’t Coach Walsh step-down? Why would he when he gets a head coach and athletic director supplement and it doesn’t matter if you win or lose? Well it should matter and that’s why it should matter to the B.O.E.

If we are striving for excellence in academics, we should also strive for excellence in athletics. It is time for everyone in the Bradwell community to show up at the meeting on December 13th at 5:30 pm and let the B.O.E. know we want a change.
